Inhalt
Inhalt - You are a university student so the chances are your IQ is above average - but what about your EQ?

- EQ describes your level of EI (Emotional Intelligence) and the good news is that, unlike IQ, EI skills can be learned and improved at any age. Many studies have shown that it is an important factor in enabling academic and workplace success.

- Emotional Intelligence is "a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves (i.e. perform and behave), develop and maintain relationships, cope with challenges" and numerous other aspects of life.

- In this course you will learn how to practice and advance your Emotional Intelligence skills - at the same time improving your English. In addition you have a chance to enhance your employability to quote:

" ........ many employers seek graduates who can work well
independently and in teams, control stress, solve problems,
change directions when necessary, and relate well both to coworkers
and customers. In fact, Shivpuri and Kim (2004) found that
employers ranked interpersonal skills as the number one skill
they wanted students to possess!"

- You can find more information about Emotional Intelligence and it's importance here:
https://media.wiley.com/product_data/excerpt/03/11180946/1118094603-35.pdf

- This is an "experiential" course, conducted in a friendly supportive atmosphere, which includes surveys, discussions and activities based on the components of Emotional Intelligence, selected from a workbook adapted from The Student EQ Edge: Emotional Intelligence and Your Academic and Personal Success by Stein et al.
