Inhalt

This module will explore the complexities of managing intercultural aspects in Germany, specifically in an academic and personal context. The module will cover key concepts related to cultural differences and an effective communication.

Voraussetzungen

In general, students cannot acquire the subject matter through self-study. In addition, the language course thrives on debate and discourse. Attendance is therefore essential for the success for the course. Absence for very import reasons must be verified by the head of CLIC management and reported in good time or accompanied by a medical certificate.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Understand and use important sentence patterns in English.

Write clear and polite emails for academic and professional purposes.

Develop well-structured portfolio entries using appropriate academic language.

Understand the basics of academic writing (organization, coherence, referencing, and style):

Recognize and adapt to intercultural differences in written and spoken communication.

Gain confidence in using English as a tool for study and collaboration at RWU.

 

Teaching Methods

Interactive workshops, group discussions, peer feedback, and practical writing exercises. Each session focuses on applied practice and reflection rather than theoretical input.

 

Assessment

Participation, completion of short writing tasks, and submission of a final written portfolio.
