We will cover different kinds of conflicts occurring in professional and academic work situations involving individuals from different nations.

Conflicts: Definition and characteristics (including risks and potential benefits)

Conflicts by persons involved, by origin, by degree of escalation

Different attitudes/approaches towards dealing with conflict

Culture specific workplace conflicts

A framework for analyzing and dealing with conflicts

-        Conflicts resulting from different perceptions of (oral) behavior

-        Conflicts resulting from different values

-        Conflicts resulting from different underlying assumptions

-        Different types of culture specific conflict

Ways of dealing with conflicts in a productive manner / moderating conflicts
