This course deals with modern algorithms for the numerical solution of physical problems.
Outline of this course:
1- Introduction/Overview to MATLAB
2- Powerful Algorithms for the Computational Engineering
3- Numerical Differentiation and Integration
- Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) and Initial Value Problems (IVP)
- Boundary Value (BV) and Eigenvalue (EV) Problems
- Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)
Additionally, the complex technical mechanics topics are broken down into subtasks whose solution methods are to be programmed by MATLAB in the practical laboratory sessions, which will be held as occurence. |
